Direct answer: the xlh-0053 is a 36W, 12V, 6000K LED headlamp with five LED beads and a DRL strip, held on by an adjustable clamp set instead of a model-specific bracket. Since 14 September 2024 it has sold 5,845 units through our own retail storefronts, and Ozon plus eBay account for 70% of that volume.

Why we are publishing our own retail numbers

Every supplier tells a buyer that a part is popular. It costs nothing to say, so it tells you nothing.

This post is built the other way round. We run retail storefronts on Ozon, eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, Shopee and Temu, and we are putting the actual sell-through in front of you. Not to prove the lamp is good, but to give you a second opinion before you commit to a container.

Read it as selection data. A part number that moves steadily in Russia and Western Europe tells you something about price tolerance, riding season and how often that part fails in service. Your job is to decide whether your market behaves like those markets. Ours is to show you the numbers so that decision is not a guess.

That is the point of this series: which SKUs have already been tested by real riders, which ones are still early, and where the volume is coming from. You bring the local knowledge, we bring the sell-through.

What 5,845 units tells you about demand

That is roughly 400 units a month from a single SKU. For a headlight, that is a lot, and it did not come from one country.

Ozon and eBay together carry 70% of the volume. Those two platforms put the lamp in front of Russian and Western European buyers, and the remainder is spread across our other storefronts in North America and Southeast Asia.

One thing to be clear about before you read anything into the number: 5,845 is our own direct-to-consumer volume only. It does not include wholesale orders, distributor shipments or OEM runs. The real figure is higher, and we are not going to pad this post with a number we cannot document.

What the data does tell you is that the lamp survives contact with real riders in cold, wet, salt-and-grit conditions, and that it gets reordered rather than returned. For a replacement part, that is the signal that matters.

How to read this against your own market

Three things decide whether a part will work in your country: how many of that bike are still on the road, how hard they are ridden, and what a rider is willing to pay for a replacement.

The 70% split toward Ozon and eBay is a signal in itself. Both are price-visible marketplaces where a rider compares ten listings before buying. A lamp that wins there is winning on value, not on brand name or on a dealer network.

If your market looks similar, high volume, price-aware, a lot of older dirt bikes still in service, this is a low-risk line to test. If your market is smaller and skews toward new bikes still under warranty, the same lamp is more of an accessory sale than a repair part, and you should size the first order accordingly.

We cannot tell you which of those you are. You know your market and we do not. What we can do is show you where the lamp has already been tested hardest, and let you draw the line to your own country.

Why one lamp covers so many frames

The reason this SKU travels across so many markets is not the LED. It is the mounting.

Most headlights ship with a bracket cut for one frame. This one ships with four separate clamps that slide and rotate, so the same lamp goes onto a KTM EXC and a Honda off-road frame without a second part number.

Frames we see it fitted to most often:

  • KTM SX, SX-F, EXC, XC-W and XC-F
  • Yamaha WR and YZ
  • Suzuki DRZ
  • Kawasaki KX and KLX
  • Honda off-road and dual-sport models with a fairing-style headlight

Measure before you order. The lamp is 290mm across at its widest point, the base is 67mm, and the clamps are slotted rather than fixed, which is what gives you the range. If your frame has an unusual tab spacing, send a photo and we will tell you whether it will sit straight.

For a buyer, this is the part of the SKU that decides how much stock you can justify. One lamp covering five makes is a range you can carry without splitting the order across a dozen part numbers.

Inside the housing: five beads and a strip

There are five LED beads in a cross pattern and a separate DRL strip along the lower edge.

Rated power is 36W at 12V, colour temperature 6000K. That is a clean white with a slight blue cast, which is what most riders expect from a modern LED swap after a halogen bulb.

Five beads is not a big number by marketplace-listing standards, where you will see thirty and forty quoted. It is enough. The reflector spreads the beam, and a lower bead count means less heat to manage inside a housing this shallow. A 36W lamp that runs cool outlasts a 60W lamp that cooks its own driver board, and the returns data on this SKU suggests that is the right trade.

What the beam looks like on an unlit road

The photo below is the lamp on a road with no street lighting. No long exposure, no camera trick.

What you want from a dirt bike headlight is a wide near field and a defined cut at the top so you do not blind oncoming traffic. The cut on this unit sits fairly low and the spread is broad, which suits trail, forest and gravel riding more than open highway running.

If your customers mostly ride on lit roads, that low cut is fine. If they run fast open desert at night, they will want more reach than this lamp gives and you should not sell it as a rally light.

Dimensions, and the number that matters most

Dirt bike headlight dimensions shown from the rear: 290mm wide, 297mm tall and 67mm mounting width

Measurement Metric Imperial
Width 290 mm 11.4 in
Height 297 mm 11.7 in
Base width 67 mm 2.6 in
Depth 50 mm 2.0 in
Weight 1.1 kg 2.4 lb

Depth matters more than width on a dirt bike. At 50mm the housing is shallow enough to clear most triple clamps without pressing on the cables behind the number plate, which is the failure point on deeper aftermarket lamps.

Three shell colours, and a box you can put your name on

The lamp comes in black, orange and white.

It ships in a printed colour box, not a plain carton. If this is going onto a shelf or a marketplace listing, the box is part of what the customer is buying, and a plain carton costs you the unboxing impression before the rider has even switched the lamp on.

We print custom boxes as well. Send artwork and quantity and we will quote the print run separately from the lamp. For a distributor carrying three colours, that is usually the difference between a commodity line and something that looks like your own brand.

Four things to check before you place a wholesale order

Connector. The lamp comes with a lead and bullet connectors. On most bikes that matches the stock headlight plug. If yours differs, it is a two-wire splice, but plan for it.

Stator output. 36W is about 3A at 12V. A healthy dirt bike stator carries that without noticing. A tired stator already running a fan and heated grips will notice, and the rider will blame the lamp.

Road legality. This is a modified off-road style lamp. ECE and DOT approval status varies by market and we do not claim it is road legal in the EU or the US without checking. If you are selling into a market that enforces type approval, confirm before you stock it.

Mounting width. Measure the tab spacing on the frame you intend to fit. The adjustable clamps cover a wide range, not an unlimited one.

Questions we get from dealers

Is it plug and play?

It has a lead with bullet connectors. On most dirt bikes that matches the stock headlight plug. On the rest it is a two-wire splice with the connectors supplied.

Will it fit my model?

If your frame takes a fairing-style headlight and the mounting tabs fall inside the clamp range, most likely. Measure the base width first. If you are unsure, send the make, model, year and a photo of the current headlight mounting and we will confirm.

Can I use these numbers to forecast my own market?

Only as a direction. The 70% split tells you where the lamp has been tested hardest, not what your country will absorb. Use it to decide whether the SKU is worth a test order, then let that first order size the second one.

Is 5,845 the total number sold?

No. That figure covers our own direct-to-consumer storefronts only, mainly Ozon and eBay. Wholesale, distributor and OEM volume is not included in it.

Can I get a custom box?

Yes. Send artwork and the quantity you expect for the first run and we will quote the print cost alongside the lamp.
