In 2016, Triumph remodeled the Bonneville series and upgraded its Cafe Racer version of Thruxton. The new Thruxton is equipped with a 1200cc eight-valve water-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine with a compression ratio that has been increased from 10.0:1 to 11.0:1. It is equipped with Triumph’s new generation of electronic throttle system and uses a lightweight crankshaft and a uniquely designed air box. The maximum horsepower is 97ps/6750rpm, and the maximum torque is 112Nm/4950rpm, which is 62% higher than the previous generation. In terms of electronic systems, it is equipped with three riding modes (road, rain, sports.) and ABS anti-deadlock brake and TC tracking control system.

Motorcycle throttle part has been changed to an electronic throttle, which makes the throttle control more linear. The handle switch part, the upper part is the engine switch, and the lower part is the start button. Double cylinder shock absorber

Triumph did not use the usual single-tube shock absorbers, instead using double-tube shock absorbers. The external spring is treated with golden yellow, which echoes the golden inverted front fork.

Classical temperament

However, this is just the obstacle method of Triumph, because Thruxton1200R has long abandoned the carburetor and adopted an electronic fuel injection system, which not only improves fuel economy, but also reduces emissions and easily meets emission standards.

Hump tail
